What is Ayurveda?
Ayurveda is the 5,000 year old healing science of India and sister science to yoga. It is the oldest and most continued health care system in the world. Ayurveda translates as the, “Science of Life.” Based on a five elemental theory, Ayurveda works on creating balance through diet and lifestyle. It considers each person a unique combination of the five elements and gives lifestyle tools accordingly.
As the seasons change, as we age, as we experience emotional shifts, Ayurveda works to helps us to find and maintain our equilibrium. Its primary method of promoting health and longevity is through diet and lifestyle. Ayurveda also works with herbs, massage and cleansing techniques to help us heal.

Ayurvedic Health Consultation
Our initial session includes an in-depth Doshic evaluation: What is your natural state of being and how are you balanced/imbalanced currently. We will explore your concerns. Together we will set goals. Ayurveda emphasizes self-care techniques that can bring you back into balance. Ami will offer you doshic specific self-care, diet and lifestyle recommendations. Some herbs may be suggested as well. You will receive a detailed write-up of our session. No knowledge of Ayurveda is necessary.
3 Session Ayurvedic Health Consultation – Package
Includes initial session plus two follow-up sessions. We will refine goals and recommendations. These additional sessions will allow a deeper exploration of imbalances. Ami will help you stay on track with your goals.
5 SessionAyurvedic Health Consultation - Package*
Includes initial consultation plus four additional sessions. If you want to implement lasting life changes, this package is recommended.

Ayurvedic WORKSHOPS & Retreats
Ami Jayaprada Hirschstein is a Certified Ayurvedic Health Counselor and Yoga Therapist. Workshops and retreats focus on identifying and working with your personal doshas, nutrition and cleansing diets, dinacarya (daily Ayurvedic regimen), improving health and immunity, yoga, pranayama and mediation.
